S&P Presents: Mason Raymond on his Canucks playing days, breaking his back in 2011 Stanley Cup Final

Former Canucks player Mason Raymond joined Matt and Blake during the holidays back in December of 2021. He talked about his rise to the NHL and being a late bloomer, even thinking out of U18 that he might not have a future in the game. He talked about why he went the Jr. A route as opposed to Major-Junior. He talked about the benefits of going the US College route and why education is important. Raymond shared a story as to why he still buys Brenden Morrison dinner, whenever they go out. Mason talked about those famous teams he played for here and why they're referred to as the "glory boys". He told the story of his family being only a few rows up when he was hit from behind into the boards in Boston in 2011. Mason talked about what it was like to play in the centre of the universe and other Canadian markets. Mason talked about what it was like to dress for Team Canada at the Olympics in 2018. Says that despite not being the best Canadian players, the team knew they were the best eligible players.
