Nov 3, 2026: Lankinen is back, Russian hockey is not

Canucks get set to host the Ducks and Kevin Lankinen is getting another shot in the crease! Blake and Patrick Johnston get you set for the game and a whole lot more! The guys look at the future of the goaltending position in the near and mid term, and if there are any ways around the contracts, injuries and poor performance. It's another edition of The Crossover with Donnie and Dhali too, with the guys debating the fans' interest in the team this season, the remix jerseys, and the path to excitement returning to the home schedule. They also get into the possibility of Russia's return to international hockey and whether Canada has a role in that. Blake and PJ also get into the rebuild comments from GM Ryan Johnson yesterday and the different paths to build the team via draft and trade. All that, plus an update on prospects like Malhotra and Romani, who were making headlines this weekend! DFO Insider David Pagnotta also joins the guys with the very latest on the Nikita Kucherov file and the myriad of conclusions that are possible. Plus, are there similarities between that situation and Quinn Hughes in Minny? David also talks about the play of EP40 getting noticed around the league, and the Canucks possible interest in young players like Shane Wright and Matthew Wood who were traded for each other yesterday. Blake and Patrick finish up with a look back at the Seahawks' dreadful effort vs Chicago, the CMNT announces its November roster, and the Whitecaps and Lions both take home some hardware!
