Matt and guest co-host Patrick Johnston of the Province discuss a weekend Airing of the Grievances by the Canucks. The GM, coach and captain all spoke to the rift between Elias Pettersson and J.T. Miller, even if the two principles chose denial. The fellas discuss the path forward, what has to give, why it went down this way, and what are the repercussions.

Farhan Lalji of TSN joins and calls the whole situation bizarre. He's annoyed at the defiance but says winning will cure all. He says the Canucks are running out of strategies to deal with these two and wonders if these two quintessential opposites can co-exist? He reports the Canucks have been in trade discussions with the Sabres, that Miller has been on Pettersson's case (maybe to do with his rich contract?) and says the time has long passed for a resolution.

Rink Wide Vancouver's Jeff Paterson stops by and calls the whole matter exhausting. He says the most telling comment was Quinn Hughes no longer wanting to "beat around the bush" and that maybe the rift had to come to a head for things to improve. He says if they play better they change the discussion, but doubts Miller is over what caused his 10-game absence. He wants to believe the temperature will lower in the new year and doesn't think this will drive Rick Tocchet away at the end of the year.
