Sekeres & Price Show

The last episode for the week begins with Blake explaining how his youngest daughter pulled a legendary April fools prank on her dad. The conversation moves to the Canucks handling of the COVID outbreak that’s going through the dressing room, and how Francesco Aquilini broke the news about the Thatcher Demko extension ahead of the Canucks own public relations.

Canucks insider Jeff Paterson drops in for his daily chat, where J Pat wonders what exactly is going on with the COVID outbreak within the organization, and if there will be more players placed on the COVID list after it was made clear that another player was added to the list that already includes Adam Gaudette. The Demko extension comes back up, with J Pat asking if ownership got a little ahead of itself announcing the extension before the team sent out the press release. The conversation wraps up with talk about the Elias Pettersson, and how the team has been reluctant to give any information about what exactly the injury is for the Canucks young star.

The Welcome Matt highlights the exceptional talent of 15-year old WHL prospect Connor Bedard of the Regina Pats.

Adnan Virk from MLB Network joins to talk about opening day in the majors. They focus in on the Blue Jays, where Adnan questions if the Jays pitching can hold up to the high expectations surrounding the team. Adnan believes that the Jays could win somewhere around 85 games, but wonders if that will be enough to get by the Rays or the Yankees. The topic of what the Mariners will be like this season wraps up the interview.

The newest weekly contributor to the show gets unveiled, as Thomas Drance from The Athletic in Vancouver joins for his first hit of many with the boys. Drance gives his insight on what he’s been hearing around the Canucks COVID outbreak, while wondering why the NHL doesn’t get proactive in purchasing vaccinations for the players across the league. Drance then gives his insight on the Demko extension.

The show concludes where the boys release some more details about when they will begin streaming live, and welcomes in the new sponsors that have got onboard with the show.
