Gregg Bell of the Tacoma Tribune joined Matt and Blake to help set up the match in Minnesota this weekend. Started off, though, by talking about Hawks D-Coordinator, Ken Norton Jr. and his fathers fights versus Ali. Gregg summed up the matchup on defence for the Hawks, after Henry ran through them last week. He talked about Josh Gordon and if he might fit into this team. Pete Carroll would be open to having him back if he is officially reinstated. Talked about DK Metcalf and his revealing moment when he admitted that all the trash talk got into his kitchen. He talked about the running game and who is more dominant.

Rick Dhaliwal, Canucks Insider, joined the guys and for some reason the conversation started off by talking about hair gel. Moving along… Rick told us what he is hearing about Travis Hamonic. It sounds like he isn’t in Vancouver at the moment. Rick talked about what the Canucks could be thinking if Hamonic won’t be making it for the start of the season. 

Our Canucks Reporter, Jeff Paterson joined to talk about day 2 of training camp. He thinks the scrimmage could have used 40 and 43. JPat ran through a number of players and how they are handling camp and will get into the lineup. He talked about Podkolzin and his grasp of the English language. He handled himself really, really well in that situation. He is having a lot of fun out on the ice. Says it is pretty clear that he understands everything that the coaches are throwing at him. JPat talked about Jack Rathbone. Says it is nice to have NHL games on his resume but he really hasn’t experienced the NHL life in his 8 games from last year. There may be some games out in Abby this season as he is waiver-exempt. Talked about Olli Juolevi and the thought that there just isn’t an NHL defensemen in him. Jeff talked about the upcoming preseason games and what we should expect.
