September 12 2022 - John Shannon & Jeff Paterson

John Shannon of the Bob McCown Podcast joined Matt and Blake for his regular Monday appearance. It was our first time to chat with John since the Miller extension. John talked about the 12 teams that are over the cap and how they will go about fixing it. It’s been 50 years since the Summit Series. John talked about the impact it had on hockey in Canada and what he was doing at that point in time.

Jeff Paterson, our Vancouver Canucks reporter, was back to start the week after he took in a Bo Horvat availability.. Jeff talked about Horvat saying that he wants to be a career Canuck and that he doesn’t want any distractions through the season. Jeff gave his thoughts on the PTO given to Danny DeKeyser. Spoiler alert, it wasn’t glowing. Finishing off, Jeff talked about the Young Stars tournament and what we can expect to see with a not-so-deep prospect pool.
