Sekeres & Price Show

Thomas Drance of the Athletic joined Matt and Blake on the road. Started off with the poll question and what was the best part of the game last night. Talked about the hit on Duncan Keith. Says it’s hard to beat. Practically he is going with the effort of Thatcher Demko. Talked about when we may see Boeser back and what we saw from Chiasson. Drancer really like Pettersson’s 5 on 5 game.

The Stanchion, Wyatt Arndt joined Matt and Blake. Started off by saying the biggest takeaway from the game last night is that we are now building a statue of Tyler Myers. Was impressed, despite the penalty attempt, with Garland. Talked about Höglander and how he is a micro-stats dream. Wyatt says he has been off to the races since the start of last years shortened season. Says he almost feels bad for Chiasson who is plugging into Boeser spot in the lineup until he gets here. A bit of concern with JT Miller who brought his f-bomb season to the first game. Talked about the ‘Armies’ and what goes into creating them.

Jeff Paterson joined the show in his regular slot. Couldn’t help but bring up the ARI game that is ongoing and the performances of former Canucks. Talked about the post game show, the show you want when you want it. Talked about the season opener and says he will take a point when it didn’t look like they would have. JPat says that Garland needed to put that shoot-out goal away when they had a chance to take the game. Talked about the lack of production from the forward group. Says it is nice that the goals came from the back end but that there is another side to that coin. Talked about Burroughs and that we saw what Travis Green has been talking about. JPat talked about Conor Garland and his workload last night.

Another entertaining Take 5 Thursday that will see either Matt or Blake be the first 2 10 wins.
