Patrick Johnston joined for his regular Tuesday hit. Talked about player development and the job the Canucks have done over the last 10 years or so. Talked about the Sedins. Thinks that they will run the team one day. Brought up the Linden comparison. Says that Trevor wasn’t ready at all for the job. Doesn’t understand the approach that he took with the PA during a very controversial time. Maybe it’d go different now. They Sedin twins aren’t being thrown into the fire right away. Talked about a potential JT Miller trade to the Rangers.
Jeff Paterson in his regular spot. Talked about the size of the front office now, compared to a lean FO under Benning and co. Says they now need a video coach. The game goes too quickly to not have an eye in the sky. Talked about the Sedin’s and how they go about providing their wisdom. JPat doesn’t believe that the twins will one day run the Canucks. They are still in their infancy post career. Just his sense but doesn’t know why.
