NHL Insider and Host of Ray and Dregs, Darren Dreger, joined the show in his regular spot. Talked about the GM meetings that just wrapped up. Talked about LTIR and how it’s being used as a tool. Dregs talked about what he took away from that. Says that 10-12 GM’s have been talking about it for quite some time. Talked about the botched Dadanov trade. Was embarrassing to the NHL. Most would be surprised to know that central registry doesn’t keep track of NMC. They will now, though… They can’t go through this again. Talked about Eugene Melnyk. The speculation will be endless about what will happen with the club. 

Jeff Paterson was on with Matt and Blake in his normal time to talk Canucks. Talked about the season that was for Nils Höglander, after it was announced he was likely out for the rest of the season. The hope was his rookie year was the baseline for him. That just didn’t happen. He is a guy loaded with skill but didn’t see enough of it in his 2nd season in the NHL. Talked about Boudreau and his eagle eyed view of the out of town scoreboard.
