June 1, 2026: Waiting for Manny, Canucks being cheap? Gallagher coming home?

It's a Monday so you know there's lots to talk about! Matt and Blake get into the endless waiting game the Canucks are in with Manny Malhotra and whether this is headed in the right direction still. The guys debate whether there's anyone else of interest or if the Canucks are pot committed at this point. The guys look at Brendan Gallagher's statement on wanting to come to Vancouver next season, but does it make sense for the Canucks? Plus, a Canucks prospect wins the Memorial Cup and Bruce Boudreau sounds off on the outgoing management in Vancouver! TSN's Farhan Lalji joins the show for a wide reaching chat about everything on the sports docket. The guys get Farhan's take on the holdup for Malhotra, the effects on the Sedins if they miss on this target, and whether Gallagher is a fit for the team next season. Farhan also gives us the latest on Whitecaps ownership, BC Place and the intersectionality of the BC Lions' future in all of that. Plus, Farhan's take on the Lions' chances for a Grey Cup this season. Matt and Blake finish up with a Canadian World Cup update as the team loses a big piece to injury and gets set to play its first tuneup match tonight.
