July 27, 2027: 'Caps and Lions as property bros? Canucks trades in waiting
It's another big Monday wrap up for the guys with new on the Canucks, Lions and Whitecaps. Matt and Blake begin with a debate on any possible new ownership of BC Place stadium, and how that could affect the two tenant teams involved. They also get into the overhaul of Canucks operations and do the math of the bodies in and out. Plus, they take a peek at the weekend performances of the Canucks prospects at the Junior Summer Showcase. TSN's Farhan Lalji stops by to get into the weeds on the stadium issue. Farhan addresses the possible cost, the myriad of politics and dynamics at play, and whether or not he actually thinks a sale could happen. The guys also talk about the possibility of a new stadium, the new turf at BC Place, and the Lions trying to bounce back this week vs the Bombers. Matt and Blake finish up with a look back on the Whitecaps match from the weekend and new 'Cap all-star. The Canadian men also have a couple of new games on the schedule, plus, the Canadian u-20 team is on a roll towards the Olympics. Then the guys wrap up with the full baseball story as the MLB trade deadline looms.
