Canucks Playoff Realities

The boys started off giving their former 1040 coworkers, now new additions at 650, Karen Surman, Jason Brough and Mike Halford a shoutout. They addressed the NHL schedule shuffle, and how it affects the Canucks. The reality of the Canucks playoff chances being toast was discussed. Matt & Blake wondered what’s holding Jim Benning back from asking UFA Travis Hamonic to waive his NMC. They talked the status of Elias Pettersson’s injury, and whether or not it makes sense to rush the young star back into the Canucks lineup. Then answered a question about why a young goalie like Thatcher Demko is thriving, while fellow young ‘tender Carter Hart is struggling. They gave some insight on who will be the show's NFL insiders moving forward and asked why the NFL is choosing to add another game to its schedule, making for an unbalanced schedule.
